I have updated the forums component on the site, as well as made some changes to the some of the user profile stuff, which I may or may not change back to the way it was. For now, I'm going to get the feel of this configuration before making a decision, which shouldn't take very long.
What this means to you:
Since the forum component has been replaced you will be needing to update your avatar to what it was. Unfortunately there was no way to preserve it.
Otherwise, everything should look and feel(for the most part) how it did. The changes were mostly for usability and security.
A while back Roberto of www.overunity.com and www.gn0sis.com (here) took a drive to Otto's home town and spent some time in his lab with him. What resulted from that trip was meticulously outlined experimental data, and build instructions for Otto's experiments, on a specific design of the TPU, he has been working on for some time.
Up until this point. Otto had been urging us, sometimes patiently, sometimes not so patiently to replicate his experiments, and assuring us that he had cracked the code, and found the necessary coil arrangments, and input parameters to replicate the effects of the TPU.
His replication instructions were vague, and I attempted to gather them into one document in order to aid people in their replication attempts. However my attempt was inadequate and short lived in the light of Roberto's incredible documentation.
Very shortly after this, Jdo300, better known as Jason Owens, began building Otto's device in order to verify his results. It took a while as things like this do. But once it was built and testing was ready to begin, a skype conference was gathered so people could help, and/or witness the results. What took place (after a little fine tuning) was incredible. A video of the results is below.

So that's it. It seems as if success has been achieved. Much testing still needs to be done however. Objective analysis of input power, and output power must be done, as well as more refinement of construction, materials used, testing for arrangement, power supply methods, etc.
We're a long way from a self-starting, self-powering, system, but optimism will prevail.

Disclosure: Bruce Perrault has submitted a patent for what he calls his "Alpha Fusion Electrical Energy Valve," . Bruce has been working on the device some might call a "nuclear battery" for many years, and has demonstrated the technology which promises to provide environmentally clean energy for the masses as long as the isotopes that power the device are still radio-active. Until now however, what happens inside Bruce's tubes has been somewhat of a mystery. This disclosure is a huge first step in Bruce's plan for disclosure of the technology. So what does it mean, what's the big deal? It means "free" or very cheap energy, for a very long time. The benefits of this are obvious. Imagine a laptop that you never have to plug in or recharge. A Kid's electric scooter that has virtually inexhaustable power supply. Imagine appliances and electronic devices in your home that don't need to be plugged in.
Dangers of Radioactivity: Many people will ask, "what about radiation poisoning, isn't that a danger?" The quick answer to this is no. Bruce's device uses raw ore which is ground up to produce radon gas. There's no more radiation than what you would find in the average home's basement, so the device is easily shielded. Even if it were not, it would take longer than most lifetimes to build up enough exposure from one of Bruce's mini fusion reactors to cause any ill effects.
The Technology: Radon is the fuel, as already mentioned. Radon is everywhere, it is responsible for a large percentage of our background radiation, and is emitted by Radium, and Uranium. Moray, d'Angelo, Hubbard, and Papp all worked with Radium or radon fuel sources. It has been known for a long time that if certain elements are exposed to radon gas a secondary energy is created. Beryllium when exposed to radon gas emits neutrons. This is caused when alpha particles bombard the Beryllium atoms. The neutrons release are of very high kinetic energy. What has been overlooked, is that exposing other elements to radon, or radium causes other secondary energies to be created. In Bruce's Valve, a germanium elements is bombarded with alpha particles emitted from the radon fuel source. When germanium is bombarded with Alpha particles, high energy electrons are liberated. Providing practical, useful energy that can be used in whatever way you might use power coming from a conventional battery.

So blue slate seems to be the most popular, both among all templates, and just vortex based templates. My personal favorite is blue sienna, so, I'm kind of disappointed more people didn't try that one.
Solarflare was second overall, and blue sienna, was second among vortex based templates. The vortex class of templates got 16 out of 24 votes. Quite the majority.
So.. after a week of voting we only got 24 votes. I guess most people just didn't care. one way or the other.
So, light slate remains the default template. And I will remove the two that got zero votes. Dark orange, and Light orange. I like the light orange one, too... Oh well.
